2024 Educational Scholarships

To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in or commencing a tertiary education course, traineeship, or apprenticeship or post graduate course in 2024.They must reside in Barcaldine Regional Council area or be dependents of parents who live in Barcaldine Regional Council area. They must be over 16 years of age as at 31 December 2023. 

Applicants must submit two A4 pages maximum addressing the following: 1.A sound academic record  2.Demonstrate a significant contribution to school or community activities   3.Describe how the scholarship will assist with educational outcomes.    4.Nominate one referee who can be contacted to support your application                           

There are a number of scholarships of $4,000 available.  $2,000 will be paid at the start of the course on receipt of proof of course acceptance and $2,000 will be paid at the successful completion of year one. All applications are to be sent to council@barc.qld.gov.au along with an image to be used for the announcement of the recipients (jpg or png file.) Previous scholarship recipients are welcome to apply. However, preference will be given to new applications in the assessment process.
