Results from the local government election held on 16 March 2024 for Barcaldine Region have now been declared.
Applications are now open for eligible students in the region to apply for the educational scholarships to assist with a tertiary education course or traineeship or apprenticeship or post grad course.

Residents in Barcaldine are advised that the new landfill site on Yellowjack Road is now open and available for use from Tuesday 9.01.24. At this stage, the new site will operate during normal hours.
Due to challenges at the current Barcaldine Landfill site, including frequent fires, Council has decided to lock the existing site for residents and transition to the new site on Yellowjack Road.
Councils elected representatives will be hosting Community Consultation Forums in each of our communities. These forums are an opportunity for residents to engage with Council. All residents welcome.
